Couldn’t fault this dentist at all. They saw me straight away after travelling to Scotland for a holiday I required to be seen urgently after experiencing terrible tooth pain from a recent filling. Barbara on reception went above and beyond to book an emergency appointment on the same day (Saturday) knowing I had a flight to catch. The nurse Chloe and dentist Euhno put my mind at rest and provided the treatment efficiently. I couldn’t be more grateful. If I lived closer this would absolutely be the dentist I would switch over to. Thank you again, Marc

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I honestly can’t recommend Dentistry on the Square highly enough!I’d known for a good few years that I was going to need a major overhaul of my teeth. I had lots of old fillings, some over 25 years old, that needed replacing, a couple of root canals, crowns, an implant and whitening. It was a lot of work, and I wanted to make sure I was putting myself in the best possible hands.I visited a few different dentists and had 3 or 4 consultations and quotes, but one thing that really stood out to me was a lovely girl called Amber at Dentistry on the Square. She was full of confidence, explained absolutely everything in great detail and made me feel completely at ease. She was brilliant from the very first meeting.Interestingly, Dentistry on the Square were actually the most expensive of all the quotes I’d received. We were talking a five-figure sum, so it wasn’t a decision I was going to make lightly. I took another couple of months to think it over, but you get what you pay for in life, and when it comes to your teeth, especially spending that kind of money, I wanted the very best. So I picked up the phone and called Abbey back.And I’m so glad I did. I haven’t regretted that decision for a single second.Every single person I’ve dealt with throughout the whole process has been absolutely fantastic. You can tell they’re all incredibly skilled at their own specialities, and the level of professionalism and attention to detail is second to none.Even the little touches make a massive difference. You can lie back and watch Netflix through special glasses with headphones on while they’re working away! They genuinely go out of their way to make the whole experience as comfortable and pain-free as possible, constantly checking you’re okay and making sure you’re at ease.For someone who needed such a huge amount of dental work, the whole experience has been incredible from start to finish.It’s rare these days to come across a business where the service, quality and people are all this good. Yes, they’re not the cheapest, but the quality of care and the confidence you have in the people looking after you are worth every penny.A massive thank you to the entire team. You’ve been absolutely outstanding.If you’re considering getting extensive dental work done or a complete overhaul of your smile, I genuinely couldn’t recommend Dentistry on the Square enough. Hi Thurga and Emma - what an amazing job you both have done helping me to overcome so many of my anxieties. On my first visit, you both listened carefully to my concerns and made sure that there was less water pressure, I wasn’t tilted too far back and was also given loads of breaks. On my second visit with you, I was so aware that you had remembered all of my many worries and throughout my treatment you both made sure that I was totally comfortable. You also praised me for doing well throughout my appointment and how I’d been brushing my teeth. You suggested loads of advice so that I can continue to better look after my oral health. You both tried so hard to make me feel welcome and visiting a couple of friends. Thank you again. What a team!!!!
I recently had some cosmetic work done on my teeth and Andy and the team couldn’t have been better. As someone that’s always been self conscious about their teeth and not enjoyed going to do the dentist, the difference in confidence since working with Dentistry on the Square has been night and day. I originally wanted to wait until all of my dental treatment was complete before leaving a review, but my experience at Dentistry on the Square has been so exceptional from the very beginning that I couldn’t wait to share how grateful I am to the entire team.From my first interactions with Elaine and the wonderful reception team, I’ve felt welcomed, comfortable and genuinely cared for. Everything has been explained clearly, and I’ve never felt pressured into going ahead with any treatment. Having the time and space to make informed decisions without feeling rushed has meant so much to me.A huge thank you to Peter and Erin for my consultation and filling appointments, Amy and her assistant for my cleaning, and Nial and his assistant for my first of two root canal treatments. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the name of Nial’s assistant, but I want them to know they deserve just as much appreciation. Every single person I’ve encountered has contributed to making what could have been a very daunting experience feel so much more manageable.I suffer from very low blood pressure and extreme anxiety, which can cause breathing spasms, as well as dizziness and discomfort when lying down for extended periods. Dental treatment can be incredibly challenging for me because of this, but everyone at Dentistry on the Square has been absolutely wonderful. They are understanding, patient and compassionate, and I have never once felt judged.They allow me to take multiple breaks whenever I need them, giving me time to catch my breath, manage my anxiety and recover when I feel dizzy. They never make me feel like I’m being difficult or holding anyone up. Instead, I feel listened to, respected and supported throughout my appointments.I also want to express how much I appreciate every single person who has looked after me. After multiple bad experiences with NHS dentists, I genuinely never imagined I would reach a point where I could leave a dental appointment feeling happy. Yet here I am, and I honestly couldn't be more grateful.You’ve changed my experience of going to the dentist in a way I never expected. For so long, dental appointments have been something to worry about, but you’ve helped make them feel safe and manageable. I’ve had such a great experience with the whole team at Dentistry on the Square over the past year. I came in feeling unhappy with my teeth but unsure what I actually needed, and from the very beginning, the team took the time to talk me through everything and explain the different options available to help me achieve the results I wanted.I then had my first appointment with my dentist, Andy McIntyre, who has been absolutely amazing throughout the whole process. The whole process felt so easy and straightforward, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.Andy always took the time to listen to any concerns I had and made me feel comfortable and reassured throughout. It's been a week since I had all my teeth removed and my temporary dentures fitted, and honestly, I still can't quite believe how well everything has gone!I bought everything in preparation for the worst — face ice packs, Bonjela, you name it, I had it ready! 😂 I fully expected pain, swelling and a pretty rough recovery, but I haven't needed a single thing. Not a bit of pain, not a bit of swelling, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Morven is a genius, sedation was tricky with me having the worst veins, but she got it, not sure how she does it, just amazing 🤔 would highly recommend 👌
Great dentists, very friendly, welcoming and a comfortable environment. Highly recommend. Though is extremely expensive and given the long waiting times and poor treatment at the NHS dentists it essentially amounts to an extortion racket imo.
I honestly couldn’t recommend The Tooth Doctor enough. I’ve had such a great experience with the whole team and wouldn’t go anywhere else now. The practice offers flexible appointments and Jaclyn’s help on reception makes the whole experience easy.My treatment plan was tailored to my cosmetic goals while prioritising the health of my teeth and gums. Sofia has been fantastic - she took the time at every appointment to explain my treatment properly and her work is amazing. Aimee is so friendly as well and always makes you feel at ease.I’m so pleased with the final result - a big thank you to the team!

The Special Forces of Dentistry!I honestly couldn’t recommend Dentistry on the Square enough. I was treated by Daryl McLay, who won Best Young Dentist at the UK Dentistry Awards in 2023, and after my experience I can completely understand why. His awards genuinely live up to the talent. Thank you Daryl, for all your hard work, your listening ear, patience and giving me a smile I hope can make the world smile back!!!Alongside giving me my smile, you also managed to restore what was a fairly complicated back molar that was partially fractured, and it wasn’t the most straightforward tooth to restore. Daryl, you took genuine care and time with it, and in the end you got it feeling completely natural again. The bite was unbelievably precise, honestly, it felt perfect down to the millimetre as discussed.The care didn’t stop once I left the chair either. Dentistry on the Square's team phoned me after every appointment to check how I was doing, and whenever I had a question or was unsure about anything, I always knew I could give them a call and get an answer!I’ve been really impressed with both the quality of the dentistry and how much the whole team genuinely cares about their patients. The treatment was platinum award worthy and I'm genuinely lucky to have found Dentistry On The Square and also having Daryl as my dentist!Luke 🙂
I have been attending this dental practice for quite a few years now. You can be assured of a warm welcome by the friendly and helpful reception staff on arrival, in a bright and comfortable environment. I have received various dental procedures to date which have been delivered by highly, skilled staff who are equally committed and caring. Where treatment was necessary my options were always fully discussed and took into account my own particular needs and wishes. I am delighted with the treatment that has been carried out since I joined this practice and appreciate the ongoing preventative check ups, carried out at least twice a year. I no longer feel embarrassed to smile, to dine out and am totally pain free.The treatment I have received has improved my appearance and helped me regain my confidence. I’m grateful to Dr Jamie Kerr, Dr Jamie Kinnell and to the extended team at Niddrie Square, whose care and support have been exemplary. I had not been to dentist in more than 20 years due to being absolutely terrified!! At the first appointment Morvin agreed that all my teeth had to come out. She made me feel at ease even when sitting on that dentist chair! On extraction day,Morvin and her nurse were nothing short of fabulous. I had the headphones on listening to music and didn't hear or feel a thing. Got a phone call the following morning to see how I was. Have to wait for gums to heal before I get my new smile. Can't believe I actually did this! Please don't wait till your teeth are as bad as mine. Morvin and the whole team will help you on your own journey with patience and understanding. A million thanks to Morvin from a very nervous but grateful patient.
I have been under the care of Ali and staff for some months now.My care has always been brilliant.I'm almost through my tooth treatments and today was thrilled to get my smile back. Final appointment soon, transformation is amazing and with Ali totally pain free. Cannot rate him high enough 🙂

My appointment to have my small filling was met with trepidation as usual. However as soon as I entered the practice the reception team were warm, friendly and welcoming.Dr Sophia came into the reception area to welcome, collect and reassure me. My complimentary cooling eye patches and lip balm were waiting for me. The menu of choices to help relax patients are excellent. The dental nurse supporting Dr Sophia was really lovely and caring. During my treatment Dr Sophia had to remind me to breathe.I’ve got to say my treatment was pain free, quick and carried out with the upmost sensitivity and professionalism. I genuinely would not go anywhere else for my dental treatment. Dr Sophia and the tooth doctor team are the best.Helen Clark

I had a full smile makeover with Daryl, from start to end the experience was great and I’m very happy with the results. Highly recommend if you want the top tier of dentistry and confidence you’re going to have a fully professional and high end finish.
I am an extremely nervous patient and, for most of my life, I was absolutely terrified of going to the dentist. As a result, I spent years avoiding treatment, and my teeth had become decayed, crooked and something I was incredibly self-conscious about. I rarely smiled, and whenever I had to speak at work or in front of people, I would cover my mouth with my hand.From my very first consultation, Rebecca, my dentist, and Rachel, my dental nurse, completely changed that experience for me. They made me feel safe, listened to my worries and never once made me feel embarrassed or judged. During my initial consultation, scans were taken and we talked through a treatment plan, which included Invisalign to straighten my teeth, dental onlays, gum contouring, crown lengthening and veneers.It has been quite a long journey, but honestly, I almost feel sad that it has come to an end!I look in the mirror now and cannot believe the transformation. My teeth are beautiful, and I now smile at every opportunity. I never imagined that I would be able to tolerate all of the treatment I have had, but with every appointment I became more relaxed and confident because I knew I was in such safe and caring hands with Rebecca and Rachel.Rebecca is honestly a genius. Her skill, attention to detail and dedication have completely transformed not just my smile, but the way I feel about myself. Rachel has been wonderful throughout too, always reassuring me and making every appointment comfortable.I also have to mention Alisdair, who provided the gum contouring, crown lengthening and implant. The thought of which was terrifying but in reality, was a breeze! Alisdair was so patient and reassuring throughout the entire process.The whole team at the practice are just wonderful. The reception staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes you feel genuinely cared for.People often say that dental treatment is life-changing, but for me, it truly has been. I have gone from hiding my smile and feeling embarrassed about my teeth to smiling at every opportunity! I only wish I had the courage to do this years ago.I cannot thank Rebecca, Rachel and the whole team enough for giving me my confidence back. I will be forever grateful. ❤️
So far, I have had an introductory session at the practice with Leigh. Leigh was incredible helpful, kind and empathetic and I felt I had a very good (and totally unique in my experience) understanding of the values held by the practice and the techniques used by the staff. I look forward to my first appointment in a couple of weeks.
I have recently finished my Dental treatment which consisted of 1 Implant, 3 Crowns, 2 Root treatments & 1 White Filing, throughout this treatment I saw Jamie Kerr, Jamie Kinnell,Niall, Amy & Thurga who were all fantastic providing me with COMPLETELY PAIN FREE TREATMENT. All of the team at Dentistry On the Square including the Nurses & Reception staff are all friendly & instantly put you at ease, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Amazing experience with Jack and the team at Hamilton Dental Centre. The team were so knowledgeable and friendly on how best to achieve my desired results for my wedding. A few pain free, quick and easy appointments later I had brighter, whiter, healthier teeth and a chip free front tooth with some amazing composite work by Jack.Can’t thank the team enough for all their help on the lead up to my wedding and looking forward to going back! From someone who used to dread going to the dentist to enjoying it, I initially went to dentistry on the square to get composite bonding thinking it would be the best easy option to straighten my teeth they then explained that it wasn’t the best option giving me the option of Invisalign treatment explained that it would be a long process but the best option which it was I did also need to have a lot of work done before starting my Invisalign treatment which would have been my worst nightmare but it couldn’t have been an easier pain free process due to the team at dentistry on the square being amazing at what they do also can’t thank my Invisalign specialist Daryl enough for helping me achieve a smile I am now genuinely happy with and his patience with me throughout the lengthy process in the end it was all worth it.
I travel over an hour to get to this dental practice and find that effort to be totally worth it. My latest visit, yesterday, was for a hygienist appointment with Katie Oliver and for a check up with John Paul Delaney. The professionalism, friendliness, care and attention that I received was, as always, off the scale. I didn’t think I would ever say this about a visit to the dentist but ….. I love this dental practice😄

I am a new patient at Pain Free, St Andrews and have been receiving my treatment from Claire. My first impression when I walked in was that it felt good that it did not feel or smell like I was in a dentists and the girls at Reception were friendly & pleasant. I felt calm & relaxed in Claire & Elles surgery. I am usually very uncomfortable in a dental practise but I came out feeling like I had conquered a fear! I was then treated by Jamie Kerr who was exceptional throughout and Jamie Kinnell who made sure that not only was I happy with everything but his attention to detail was exceptional and very much focused on making sure that all my expectations were not only met but exceeded! From the initial consultation, Anthony was incredibly thorough and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. He talked me through all of my options and advised me on what would work best for the result I wanted, which made me feel really confident in my decision.I’m absolutely delighted with the final result! Had my scale & polish with Laura last night.Laura puts you at ease by chatting and asking how you are , she explains exactly what she is going to do and asks throughout if you’re ok. This is a major plus for me as I’m still a bit coward walking through that door.Would recommend this practice for anyone who is a bit timid about going to the dentist. Alastair is my dentist and he too, puts you at ease and I’ve never felt anything whilst getting treatment.
I’m 52 and a bit scared of the dentist but the young lady who attended me yesterday was wonderful it’s the first time in my life I can honestly say it was pain free and I had two teeth extracted! I don’t know the young ladies name unfortunately but she was absolutely amazing she was pleasant and professional and put me completely at ease.
If you want excellence in dentistry, look no further. Seriously impressed by the professionalism and technology at this dental practice. Using state of the art tools and equipment such as Cone Beam scanners, 3D photogrammetry and AI for image analysis on X-rays. Staff were very professional and looked after me well, an almost unfamiliar experience to any dental practice. From the minute we stepped through the door we were warmly invited to have a seat, receptionists we’re all very understanding of my anxiety, didn’t wait minutes for attention by Jerry who put me at ease, and as I had a long-standing problem with this large painful molar, and was a bit worried, Jerry took on all my questions and after careful examination, assured me he could extract the tooth,returned a few days later tooth removed and no further problems,Jerry had a genuine care for his clients, I would recommend him for all your dental needsAlex and Mary ScottThankyou once again

I can honestly say that Sofia at the tooth doctor is amazing. I hadn’t been to a dentist in a while and was dreading it.First appointment was a tooth extraction, I did not feel a thing couldn’t believe it was over and done with so quickly.Have had a few treatments with absolutely no pain whatsoever, they really are a pain free dentistry.Sofia listens to what you would like and she 10/10 delivers this.I am over the moon with my treatment, if anyone is dreading to go to the dentist, I recommend Sofia she certainly puts you at ease.
